I'll be volunteering somewhere locally on the 19th and "attending" the Inauguration and Inauguration Ball on Tuesday (virtually).
I actually was invited to the Inauguration and Ball in Washington DC because I volunteered for the Obama-Biden campaign but alas, no can do. Funds are too tight... (The invitation is framed and on the wall in my hallway, though, next to a terrific poster of our next President, you may be sure!!!)
But I'll be there in spirit.
A new day is dawning in America and I want to be part of it!

Today, the 19th, my sister and continued our efforts to make our parents' old home ready for service to another family. We chose to work on the house in honor of the third anniversary of our mother's death, this day in 2006.
Tomorrow, I will go to work, teaching my special ed kids, and sharing the inaguration with them. My sister and her best friend (my roomies) will be home watching history made! The outside of our home is decorated with an Obama-Biden sign, little flags, a big flag, red/white/blue bunting, firework streamers and blue pinwheels with white stars on them.
