R.I.P. DeForest Kelley

T'was 12 years ago today I held De's hand for the last time. Seems a long time ago to me now... for the first time. It's easier on me this year, THANK GOD!  I also thank God for De's life and his influence on mine.

Amen and amen.

De passed away two weeks prior to my dad in 1999, so I always empathize with your posts! Glad it is a little easier for you this year and that you are such a champion in keeping his memory alive.

He will always be with you Kris. Like McCoy once said: He's not really dead, as long we remember him.

Leonrad and Bill must have lost a little part of themselves when he died. I know what it's like to have somebody close die slowly and painfully of cancer - and I'm 17. May God rest his soul and may his spirt live on in all of us.

It's sad that he's dead. We shouldn't mourn his death, but remember his life. I think that Leonard and Bill were truly blessed to have such a wonderful man as their friend. I wish I could sit down for lunch or something with him. I bet he's sipping a mint julep on a cloud right now. I'll raise a glass of peach juice to him.
