Many medical organizations are waiting for access to Haiti to be cleared....the problem right now is even organizations on the ground are not receiving supplies because there are only three ways into country. Airport in Port au prince is limited by number of runways..(ONE!) and no air control tower(Collapsed!!). The water port is useless and dangerous because all piers collapsed( US Navy and Army corp of engineers evaluating how to fix but will take time) and roads from dominican republic are jammed with people fleeing Haiti...
The reality is this country was building up to this situation and now it has happened...
Medical crews are heading in and will help when they get there...those of us who have offered our assitance have been told..."you will be contacted on where and when to make your arrangments to come, when we can assure your safety"
