The ergonomics at my work desk are ruining my back, shoulders, neck, wrists and spine, despite a new chair and ergonomic back rest, because I sit here so many hours of the day and night writing for business clients, so I've looked into getting a Trekdesk and a Horizon Fitness T101 treadmill (you can see both at Amazon) so I can walk while I work. The total price tag: "just" over (ouch!) $1000.
It's $1,000 I don't have, and won't have, for ten or twelve months, because I still have so much catching up to do. So I'm wondering if anyone who reads this blog would be interested in helping me stay healthy by contributing toward the $1K I need to make the Trekdesk and treadmill a reality sooner than a year from now, by which time I may be well and truly botched up physically.
It would be a gift, not a loan. But of course I can do something in return for the gift, if you need a great copywriter for any reason.
I am writing the manufacturers of these items to see if I can work out a trade with them (product for honest reviews and copywriting), but don't have a lot of faith that anything will come of it, so I'll wait a couple of weeks before I accept any help from y'all... but if you're at all interested in helping me out (for free or in trade), please let me know what you can do, okay?
Yeah, I know. I've never asked for anything before. And I probably never will again. But this is a rather urgent need and my birthday is coming up (March 5th). So if you have some spare cash (don't strap yourself -- don't give till it hurts -- just give what you truly can and want to give), please let me know and set it aside to send my way if the manufacturers remain silent and don't jump at the chance for honest reviews and/or some copywriting services in exchange for their products.
I figure that unless I make my needs known, no one will know about them. So here they are. I hope you can help, and if not, no harm, no foul...
Keep me in your prayers for the help I need to get off this chair and on my feet. Doing so will help me lose the 50 pounds I need to lose and make my brain work even better as I write. I'm convinced I need both!
Thanks a lot for considering this request. As Carolyn Kelley was always so fond of telling me, "If you don't ask, you don't get!"
I never took her advice while she was alive, but now I need to, so I am!

If I win the lottery, Kris, I will remember you.
I have a student overdraft at the moment.
